so i took my car into midas this morning and they just called me (they were very busy!) to tell me my front rotors are rusted out. gee, i wonder how much that has to do with having parked in a puddle for the past year! i'm going to call my building manager on monday and tell her i need a new parking spot.

i got a new phone! it's one of these. i decided to renew my contract and i got a deal on it - it's only been out a month, and i asked the guy a billion questions about it so i'm fairly confident it will be a phone i can have for a long time and be happy with it. it has a 1.3 megapixel camera and an mp3 player and a movie/television player and a GPS system and msn messenger and lots of other cool goodies. just thing - if i get lost, my phone can guide me home.

today i'm going to get my brake pads checked and possibly replaced. what an exciting day! oh and ashley and i are going to look at bridesmaid dresses.

as you can see, i'm nearly done scraping off all the underlay - only two small sections left to go! with that done, all i'll have left to do is getting rid of that piece under the tv, do a little vacuuming and maybe a little mopping (there's a lot of mud under the underlay!!!) and it'll be like there was never carpet in here.

As it turns out, the carpet underlay in my diningroom/livingroom is only glued down around the perimetre - that means it's going to be a LOT easier than I thought to pull up. The sad part is that I had to send Noodle to live with my parents, as she seemed pretty determined to eat some paint chips and liked rolling around on the tack strips. I was worried about her. I miss the little Noodle. She'll be back.
