praise the lord!!!
As it turns out, the carpet underlay in my diningroom/livingroom is only glued down around the perimetre - that means it's going to be a LOT easier than I thought to pull up. The sad part is that I had to send Noodle to live with my parents, as she seemed pretty determined to eat some paint chips and liked rolling around on the tack strips. I was worried about her. I miss the little Noodle. She'll be back.

Yeah!!! Life is good. It's going to be beautiful! Hey, I was thinking, if you are able to bring the carpet up without ripping it apart, you could probably list it on freecycle and someone would come and take it away.
